Secret Gardens of Planet E
Comparable to the flight of a small plane over a breathtaking landscape, with “Secret Gardens of Planet E”, Oeggerli invites you to change the perspective, thus, revealing the intricacies of plant surfaces. Some of them originate from rare plants hardly ever described, others can be experienced in our kitchen.

Pollen Universe
Over 20 years, Oeggerli has been exploring the hidden beauty of pollen through scanning electron microscopy. Each grain is meticulously isolated and manually colored, transforming natural microstructures into striking, almost graphic abstractions. His work reveals evolution’s design with unprecedented clarity.

Faces
With „FACES“- An Animal Character Study”- Oeggerli challenges our perception of creatures often met with disdain. Through magnified, portrait-style images stripped of context, he reveals unexpected beauty and invites empathy. The viewer’s curiosity transforms fear into fascination, forging a new, unbiased relationship with the animal— one shaped by detail, intimacy, and quiet wonder.

The Microbe Project
This series includes works from various creative phases of Oeggerli’s career, all of which place the significance of bacteria at the forefront. First—primarily from his early creative period—is the series Contrasting Graphics, in which bacteria are rendered in a nearly graphic abstraction. Also part of this group are the near-hyperrealistic representations, which contextualize bacteria more clearly in relation to humans.
